First I had a 20 minute non-stress test done- they monitored baby's heart rate & my uterus for activity: baby sounded great & responded to movement with an increased heart rate as expected. At one point the nurse & I had been gabbing away & the baby had fallen asleep so she placed this little remote on my belly & emitted a noise to wake baby up- it worked! The other band measured numerous uterine contractions which is also good news that my body is gearing up!
Then the doctor saw me, said the NST looked great, no signs of preeclampsia (!!!😀), & we reviewed the plan re: my medication & induction. Then she checked & was pleased with how far down baby's head was & found me to be 3 cm dilated! OMG so exciting!
Maybe baby will be here sooner than we know it! I'm so excited I'm more winded than usual! Tomorrow is my last day of work, then all I have to do is relax & take care of myself while celebrating these final moments with Arthur as our only child (I may have shed a few tears over this already)...
