Lucky 13

Arthur is 13 months old today...
Highlights from the last month:

• when Arthur grabs a toy or book, walks backwards towards you & then plops in your lap
• he's kicking the ball with his feet now
• he likes to spin in circles while giggling & making himself dizzy
• he has been practicing using his voice, saying "aaaaaahhhhhh!" at the top of his longs often
• eating SO much! Whole slices of pizza, big dish of mac n cheese, an entire bean burrito...
• he makes that snapping/clicking noise with his mouth/tongue in a playful way
• we taught him to pat his open palm against his mouth while saying "ahh", he does it with his fingers together, patting his knuckle against his mouth to make the sound
• his HUGE tummy & little, short bow-legs makes it hard to find pants that fit him (but I love his tum & bow-legs)
• we went to the Portland Children's Museum for the first- we all had a blast & got an annual membership!
• in the evenings we have wild dance parties, or just entertain ourselves by walking circles around the living room saying "aaaahhhhhh"
• he can identify your body parts including nose, ears, tummy & toes (sometimes mouth/eyes), and can identify his own tummy, patting it proudly
• he clearly says "bye bye" now while waving
• he exaggeratedly shakes his head yes when you ask him questions
• he throws toddler-like tantrums
• his curiosity continues- he explores everything
