I've been wanting to post an update for some time now but our scanner is on the fritz so I don't have the ultrasound pictures from last week to share yet. Once that is up and running again- I'll share all the good news from our Dr appt!
In the meantime, baby and I have been growing rapidly. At the beginning of all of this, Ryan and I began taking belly shots so we can track progress... below you can see a sample of the pictures in progression.
This is what baby is looking like these days. Baby's eyes have begun to open, is still an active little karate kid, and is able to taste what I eat through the amniotic fluid.
The fetal movement thing still trips me out. The weirdest is when the baby is busy doing something while I am busy moving around. The idea of two people doing different things within the same body is so wacky! With every passing day, I become more and more connected with this little wee one as we go everywhere together. I am convinced that it will be one the sweetest babies that the world has ever seen ;)
I have my first cold while pregnant and I'm not enjoying it much. I also am having difficulty sleeping. The baby likes to be active at night, I get leg cramps, I pee about 5x throughout the night, I stress about work, etc. etc. so I am getting lots of practice at being up in the middle of the night. But the most effective trick to falling back to sleep is focusing on the idea of cradling this little bundle. I can't wait to meet him/her in person!
